Return, Replacement & Shipping Policy

Please review these guidelines and the written terms supplied with your quote or order before purchasing a used component.

Return & Replacement Requests

Return or replacement eligibility depends on the component and the written terms provided with the order. Contact Safari Used Auto Parts before shipping any item back. All returns require prior authorization and return instructions.

  • The request must be made within the return or warranty period stated in the written order terms.
  • The component must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received.
  • Original identification marks, labels and warranty indicators must remain intact.
  • Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to the sender.
  • Approved refunds, replacements, return shipping and any restocking charge are governed by the applicable written order terms.
  • Labor, diagnostics, programming, calibration, towing, rental vehicles, lost income and installation expenses are not covered unless expressly agreed in writing.
Do not ship a component back until Safari Used Auto Parts provides authorization and the correct return address.

Special-Order and Electronic Parts

Certain components may be sourced for a specific VIN, part number, production option or vehicle configuration. Eligibility for cancellation or return may be limited after sourcing or processing begins.

  • Special-order cancellation terms are provided with the applicable quote or order.
  • VIN-specific or specially sourced components may have restricted return eligibility.
  • ABS modules, control units, instrument clusters and other electronic components may require professional programming, coding, initialization, calibration or relearn procedures.
  • A programming requirement by itself does not establish that a component is defective.
  • Deposits or special-order payments are handled according to the written terms accepted at purchase.

Shipping and Delivery

Safari Used Auto Parts arranges delivery within the continental United States. Shipping method, charges and estimated timing depend on the component, inventory location, carrier and destination.

  • Processing begins after order details, fitment information and payment are confirmed.
  • Processing and delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by inventory verification, weather, holidays or carrier conditions.
  • Smaller items may ship through a parcel carrier; engines, transmissions and large assemblies generally ship by freight.
  • Freight delivery may require a commercial address, loading dock, forklift, lift-gate service or terminal pickup.
  • Residential service, address changes, storage, missed appointments or redelivery may result in additional carrier fees.
  • Tracking or freight information is provided when available.

Damaged or Incomplete Shipments

Inspect the shipment before accepting delivery whenever possible. If damage, missing pieces or packaging concerns are visible, note them on the carrier’s delivery receipt and contact Safari Used Auto Parts promptly.

  • Photograph the component, pallet, packaging, labels and visible damage.
  • Retain all packaging and shipping materials while the claim is reviewed.
  • Do not install, modify, discard or return a visibly damaged component without instructions.
  • Provide the order information, delivery receipt and requested photographs.
  • Carrier claim requirements and deadlines may apply.
A signed delivery receipt without damage notation may affect the ability to pursue a carrier claim.
